Oral care for toddlers: from first tooth

Oral care for toddlers: from first tooth

Big people care, little people smile: a healthy start for your teeth!

Did you know that your oral health starts as soon as your first tooth comes through? Not only is that important, it's also pretty exciting and fun! That's why there is a new national guideline that says all children - as soon as their first tooth breaks through - can go to the dentist with mom or dad. That way we can take care of your smile together early on!

This new Youth Oral Health Care Guideline (2025) is based on the latest science on children's dental development and cavity prevention. It was developed by experts in oral health care, including the KNMT, and is based on years of research into the best care for children. So together, we can take care of your smile early on!

Maybe you've already heard from the consultation center or the pediatrician that it's time for a visit. That new guideline ensures that everyone gives the same, fine advice about your teeth. This way, all moms and dads know exactly when they can visit with you.

Why is this so important to you?

  • Just getting acquainted: The first time is mainly for getting used to. You can see how our chair moves, look at the lights and, of course, the instruments. In this way, a visit to the dentist will become something you find quite normal!
  • Tips for your teeth: We can give your parents the best tips on brushing your teeth and the right toothpaste to keep your teeth strong and healthy.
  • No cavities: By getting there early, we can prevent problems before they happen and make sure your teeth stay nice and healthy.

We look forward to meeting you and together ensuring a strong and radiant smile!

See you soon in our practice!
