Cost Transparency: How it Works
At Tandartspraktijk Veemarkt, we think transparency about costs is very important. Because rates for dental care are set uniformly throughout the Netherlands by the Netherlands Healthcare Authority (NZa), you always know exactly where you stand, regardless of which dental practice you visit. This nationwide regulation ensures that there are no surprises and that prices for specific treatments are clear and verifiable. The goal of the NZa is to ensure quality care at fair prices, which benefits you as a patient.

Budget and Fees
Before we start a more extensive treatment, you will always receive a detailed budget from us. This will describe exactly which treatments are needed, which codes are involved and what the total costs will be. This allows you to make an informed decision and possibly contact your health insurance company. It is always advisable to contact your health insurance company prior to treatment with higher costs, or if you are unsure about reimbursement. Coverage for dental care can vary greatly from one supplementary insurance policy to another. Some treatments are fully reimbursed, while others are only partially covered or not covered at all. Communicating proactively with your insurer will help you avoid unexpected costs.

Payment methods and invoicing
Upon completion of your treatment, you will receive an invoice. For your convenience, we offer several payment options. You can use debit cards at the front desk immediately after your treatment, or pay the bill later via bank transfer. If you have any questions about your invoice or payment, our team is ready to assist you. We strive to make all administrative processes as smooth and clear as possible, so that you can fully focus on your oral health. Our assistants are trained to guide you through any questions about invoices and can advise you on the most appropriate method of payment.

If, after reviewing the rates, you still have specific questions about the cost of treatment, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to explain everything.
