Cost Transparency: How it Works
At Tandartspraktijk Veemarkt, we think transparency about costs is very important. Because rates for dental care are set uniformly throughout the Netherlands by the Netherlands Healthcare Authority (NZa), you always know exactly where you stand, regardless of which dental practice you visit. This nationwide regulation ensures that there are no surprises and that prices for specific treatments are clear and verifiable. The goal of the NZa is to ensure quality care at fair prices, which benefits you as a patient.

Budget and Fees
Before we start a more extensive treatment, you will always receive a detailed budget from us. This describes exactly which treatments are needed, which codes belong to them and what the total costs will be. This allows you to make an informed decision and contact your health insurance company if necessary. Coverage for dental care can vary greatly from one supplemental insurance policy to another. Communicating proactively with your insurer will help you avoid unexpected costs.

Our practice's bill
We understand that patients choose their health care provider based on trust. Personal contact is indispensable in this regard. This is why we send our bills for treatments directly from our own practice. We use Payt's software for this purpose. The software allows you to find your bills in a personal online environment (you do not need an account for this), easily pay your bills with iDEAL and communicate with the practice when you have questions about your bill or want to make payment arrangements.

Reimbursement of your health insurance company
The bill you receive from us clearly indicates the amount reimbursed by your health insurance company. This depends on your age, type of treatment and the conditions of your insurer. Do you have a question about reimbursement by your health insurer? Please contact your own insurer directly.

Billing by our practice
Our practice's standard operating procedure is that we first submit your treatment to your insurer. We then bill you for the portion not covered by your insurer. You then have 14 days to pay the bill. You can do this by using the digital payment options, such as iDEAL. Do we not yet have your e-mail address or an old one, but would you like to receive your bills by e-mail? Please provide us with your e-mail address as soon as possible.
